October 2020 Workshop
The October Workshop meeting will be a ZOOM Meeting to be held on Wednesday, October 28th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. - mark your calendar. You will be emailed the link a day or two prior to the event, just as you have been for the competition meeting.
We have done this in the past meeting as a group at the Artist's' Workshop. This will be the first time for us to meet together as a group in a ZOOM chat room. We will be reviewing entries that were recently submitted for competition. Our purpose is to give the photographer the opportunity to tell a little about how the image was taken and to openly discuss how it could be improved. For example; the judge made suggestions on how your entry could be improved and you're not quite sure what the judge ment or how to make the change using Lightroom or Photoshop. At this point, the image you submitted will be brought into Lightroom Classic or Photoshop and Tom will attempt to demonstrate the recommended editing live and on screen.
By request we will cover, but not limited to, the following topics / concerns:
Sizing using Lightroom Classic & Photoshop
White Balance using Lightroom Classic
Dodging and Burning using Lightroom Classic & Photoshop
This is your opportunity to ask questions and get feedback from other photographers.
To submit entries for review, email them to the club at our email address [email protected]:
Submit your image just as it was submitted for the competition without any changes.
Briefly state in the email what changes or questions you want to review.
( this will allow Tom to be better prepared to demonstrate how to make changes to your image )
Remember the great quote from Ron Kroc who built the McDonald fast food chain to where it is today.
"When you're green you're growing. When you're ripe you're rotting."
Make every effort to be there to share your ideas and learn from others. This is of course what the Southeast Camera Club is all about.
