March 2021 Workshop and Phototunity
Her are some of the images taken by our club members. We had a lot of fun and a great evening.
This month we will be combining our Monthly Workshop and Phototunity into one and do some night photography. We will be meeting in the parking lot at the Smyrna Dunes Park on 2995 N Peninsula Ave. on Saturday March 27th, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. There is a fee to enter. If you have not bought a season pass, contact Tom Frisinger at 386 847-4941 and we will arrange to meet and then carpool into the park. Note, the season pass is $20.00 and well worth the money, a great place to visit and full of photo opportunities (AKA Phototunities).
From the parking lot we will go to the beach to photograph the full moonrise. This will be a hands on how-to training class. For those who aren't sure about night photography, this is your opportunity to learn and ask questions.
After the moonrise shoot we will quickly go to the fishing pier to photograph the sunset. Although most have photographed the sunset, this is again an opportunity to talk with other members and trade techniques and camera settings.

Next we go down the road a little to North Beach Community Park. 1100 N. Atlantic Ave. New Smyrna Beach, to do some Light swirl photography. This is also pay parking, however there is no fee for parking after 5:00 p.m. , also this parking area is open until 11:00p.m. according to the signage.
Greg Evans will be demonstrating how to photograph steal wool lit on fire at night. This is a fun thing and if you have never done it or haven't done it for a while you'll not want to miss this opportunity. Again, this is where we talk to each other and learn from each other. Not sure who the lucky person will be who spins the inferno at the same time trying not to catch themselves on fire will be, but for the rest of us this will be a fun thing.
As always, guests are welcome, you do not have to be a member to attend this workshop meetings. Come on out for an evening of learning and enjoy the company of other photographers of all levels.
