February 2020 Workshop
The February Workshop meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 26 th at our regular meeting place, the Artist's Workshop, 520 Barracuda Boulevard, New Smyrna Beach (additional directions below)
Similar to last month we will be reviewing images provided by members for the purpose of discussion and learning. This is not going to be an every month workshop. However due to time restraints some did not have the opportunity to review their images with the group.
Our purpose is to give the photographer the opportunity to tell a little about how the image was taken and to openly discuss how it could have been better. This is a great opportunity to get helpful feedback from other photographers. If for example, cropping is a concern, we will be able to bring the image into Lightroom / Photoshop and demonstrate what it would look like if it were cropped differently.
This is your opportunity to ask questions and learn how better to process your images in Lightroom / Photoshop. Steve Trofatter will be showing his image of a space launch to discuss how to do night photography. He will be explaining the "how and whys" for the camera setting he used. This information should be beneficial to 4th of July fireworks also.
Send one image you would like to review with the group using the club email [email protected] in the subject block say "TOM - February Workshop". Remember to send it as an attachment rather than pasted to the email body. If need be, you can always bring your image with you on a flash drive, emailing does save time.
Note: Using the club email assures you that even if for some reason the workshop host was unable to attend the meeting, your images will be there for another person to take over in an emergency.
Remember the great quote from Ron Kroc who built the McDonald fast food chain to where it is today.

"When you're green you're growing. When you're ripe you rot."
Make every effort to be there to share your ideas and learn from others. This is of course what the Southeast Volusia Camera Club is all about.
Note: GPS sometimes take you just short of our location at the Marine Discovery Center / Artist's Workshop.
Turn left onto Barracuda Blvd., continue over the little bridge crossing the water way, drive 1/10 mile to the Marine Discovery Center on left. Park in lot, take the lighted walkway on your left (south side) to the back of the building. See you there.
