Upcoming Monthly Themes For 2025
​The purpose for our monthly themes are to challenge you as a photographer.  To get you to think out-of-the-box and get creative with new and challenging subject matter.  Have some fun with this.  If your stuck on an idea, work with a friend or fellow club member.  This is your opportunity to accept the challenge and grow in your photography skills.
January - Shadows 

shadows (plural noun)
  1. a dark area or shape produced by a body coming between rays of light and a surface
  2. envelop in shadow; cast a shadow over
  3. ​an inseparable attendant or companion​
Shadows can present in various forms, think me and my shadow! Present in architecture, nature and portraits, shadows can accent or emphasize an image or convey a message in a photograph.

February - Bridges
noun
  1. a structure carrying a road, path, railroad, or canal across a river, ravine, road, railroad, or other obstacle:
    "a bridge across the river" · "a railroad bridge"
  2. the elevated, enclosed platform on a ship from which the captain and officers direct operations
It can also include the bridge of the nose, a passage of music, a tool used for playing pool, or something joining two things, as in "bridge the gap". 
Get creative and find the Bridge in your photography!

Use your camera to take us on a journey in time. History can take many forms. It can describe a period in time, a trend or events in chronological order. Show us history in a single shot.

October - Monotone
noun
  1. a continuing sound, especially of a person's voice, that is unchanging in pitch and without intonation.
Monotone art refers to artwork that uses only one color, generally black and white.

Use this theme to bring emphasis to your favorite color. Play with light and dark techniques and contrasts to create your monotone image.

The art of creation refers to the bringing about of a new combination of elements in a medium, such as music, literature, or visual art. It involves re-formatting pre-existing materials to create something new. The process of creation is associated with artistic expression and the portrayal of divine or transformative themes.

Interaction/Conversation between subjects
Conversation interaction images refer to visual forms that are integrated into connected systems and play a powerful role in private and public conversations. These images can capture attention, evoke emotions, and convey large amounts of information quickly.
