Upcoming Monthly Themes For 2024
​The purpose for our monthly themes are to challenge you as a photographer.  To get you to think out-of-the-box and get creative with new and challenging subject matter.  Have some fun with this.  If your stuck on an idea, work with a friend or fellow club member.  This is your opportunity to accept the challenge and grow in your photography skills.
January - Nautical
(adjective)
  1. of or relating to sailors, ships, or navigation: 

​Think of what it takes for ships and boats to navigate the sea.  Charts, compasses, navigation lights, and maritime signal flags are all used today. Also consider a ship or boat's rigging or how it is secured at dock.

February - Threes
Often when a photographer is looking for an image they will photograph 1, 3, or 5 objects making up the subject in an image rather than 2, 4, or 6.  Some consider this a hard core rule.  Threes are very often used and fortunately our theme this month is "Threes".  Be creative and have some fun with this one. 
March - Sunrise / Sunset
Aways a clastic, never two alike.  Although done often, every day is different, with its own unique "Sunrise and Sunset".   Take several images, submit the best, and impress yourself.
April  - Framed
Find ways to use natural frames for your subject.
May - People
Sky's the limit here.  Photograph funny people, short people, VERY tall people, young people, old people,  important people, or people of authority.  Find a subject that really stands out.
Summer Break - June, July and August
September - Eyes
Look around, what do you see?  Eyes that are happy, eyes that are beautiful, or eyes that tell a story.

October - Gardens / Landscape
From simple neighborhood gardens to the most elaborate landscaping.  Here in Florida everyone has a lot of options.  
November - Weather
 Your challenge this month is to capture an image that the viewer can experience the weather condition you have chosen.
