2020 Photographer of the year
Although competition is only part of the Southeast Volusia Camera Club, it has been a long time tradition. Our friendly competition is a way for members to learn and grow, regardless of their skill level.
Each year we recognize the photographers who score the highest points in their appropriate class. The top scorer in the "B" beginner and growing novice class group, is recognized as the winner in that category and is advanced to the "A" group. The top scorer in the "A" professional and serious amateurs class group is recognized as the photographer of the year.

for more than 10 years. I bought my first camera in 1964 when I was serving in the Army and first joined a camera club in the mid 1970's, at the suggestion of a couple of friends who were active in the Lawrence Camera Club. I still belong to that club which is now known as the Merrimack Valley Camera Club. It meets in North Andover, MA.
I am a past President of the Club and served in other capacities as well over the years. A long time member and past President of the Massachusetts Camera Naturalists, an invitation only organization. Presently, I am a Master Member of the New England Camera Club Council and have served on their annual Conference Print Competition Committee for many years. A long time member of the Photographic Society of America. I was a member and past President of the Yankee Photographic Society, now disbanded. Over the years, I have competed successfully at many levels in Color Slides, Black and White and Color Prints and Digital including Prints. I do a lot of Nature, but overall, will photograph most any subject matter if I see something that appeals to me. I have judged many photo competitions and also presented a number of programs at camera clubs. John Lowe |
bought a Canon Rebel and braved the awkward stage of learning to shoot in Manual Mode. Photography brings her joy, and much of her work is showcased on Instagram @linafletcherphoto. She offers unique perspective of the everyday, attempting to communicate emotion and beauty and story in every piece.
